SlovakdirectorDusanHanakwasoneofCzechcinema'sbrightestandbesttalentsoftheླྀsandྂs,butbecauseofcensorshipthiswasnotmanifestuntilthelateྌs.Dusanmadeanimpactonthefilmworldwithhisauspiciousdebut322(1969).Thoughbanneduntil1988,whenitwasfinallyreleased,itearnedinternationalacclaimandtheGrandPrixawardattheMannheimFilmFestival.Hanak'ssophomoreeffort,thedocumentaryObrazyStarehoSveta/ImageofanOldWorld(completedin1972),wasalsonotreleaseduntil1988andneitherwashis1980filmJaMilujem,TyMilujes/ILoveYou,YouLove.OnlyHanak's1976filmRuzoveSny/Rose-TintedDreamspassedmusterwithcensorsandsawatimelyrelease.
